When last we left the excitement of my life...haha I was still awaiting a visit from Robin, said visit has come and gone but the memories of which shall never pass...okay perhaps a bit dramatic. Anyhow the first night she got here nothing exciting happened cause I had to work the next day, we basically went hottubbing and talked till about 2 AM...not good for those 7AM work days..oh well.  The next day was Friday and it was the day of Kavithas 21st b-day party!!! By the time I got home from work Leslie had arrived at my house, so after a bit of preparation and some pizza the 3 of us went out the the cabin to commence in the festivities.  Kav, Goetz, Futch, and On were already out there, the evening started out slowly with some jet skiing and chilling but soon progressed when karthik got there and started making the gin and tonics.  Robin and I had the first shots with the b-day girl a little left over tequila that robin brought with her...soon andrea started with the blender and it was all down hill once the daquiries and mudslides started coming.  This was seriously a ridiculous party...I don't know how many people they thought were going to be out there but there was a HUGE stockpile...enough to make Nar proud.  We spent a lot of time in the Hammock...quite dangerous with 5 or 6 people on it.  I don't remember many specifics but some highlights of the night are: pouring mudslide alllll over robin from a high altitide..thanks mmm-bop for the good idea aka Hanson, salsa dancing with robin and falling down, eating mass quantities of cheese at 2 AM, and fiting 4 people, robin, mmbop, john, and myself onto one very small bed only to wake up in the morning and find that karthik has replaced John?!? very weird night.  Leslie my dear....the stories I am hearing about you just keep coming  you were good but it warn't for trying hehehe...oh well I think everybody had questionable moments.  I am still scarred from Sony's bfriend stalking me and Robin and being...umm...inappropriate to say the least.

Saturday morning we were a bit under the weather so at 8 AM when we got kicked out of the cabin we went to McDonalds and came home and sat in a grease/alcohol induced coma on the coach only to be obnoxiously bothered by my dad and Dan doing the hangover test by screaming really loud, and turning allll the lights on...jerks. That night we went to the ski show and I saw some random people I haven't seen for a long time like Andy Hodny and Andy Cowan...strange that they have the same names...that night we basically crusted away watching tv and chillin, Robin and I may have scared leslie a bit with our in car singing and general randomness...i think my a-town friends finally are able to understand what I mean when I say "robin is totally crazy"

Sunday  Robin and I went to Mitchell to see the corn palace....its sounds lame cause it is but we had a BLAST on our road trip...seriously so much fun! And we have TONS of pictures if you would like to see.  Monday we went and got our ears pierced and went shopping, she broke the bank to say the least gotta love the Aberdeen mall! We ran into Andy Cowan again...2 times in 3 days so that was weird so he offered to take us for a ride on his crotch rocket so that night him and mike picked us up and we went for a little ride.  That was a lot of fun to, we decided our new mission in life was to find boyfriends who had them...I think we are little adrenaline junkies.  Oh well...I guess we'll see what happens  heheh all in all it was a reallllly great few days and a definite bonus in the summer monatany that has become my life.

Saturday Continued:

    So Saturday was a typical  Knox party but it was great to see everyone again and celebrate with the birthday girl!!  I am a dork though, b/c I left Lei's B-day gift in Peoria!! What a moron!!  So as usual the punch was really strong and within minutes I was good to go, nothing too crazy happened (I don't think) but it was so good to see everyone! Well...i got to see most people Shirley mysteriously disappeared!!  where could she have gone?!? The rest of the night was fine, socializing, dancing, going to the quickie with Robin and Rashid, everything was good until Aunda made me do a So-Co shot...yikes it is also not good when you are able to chase a shot  with Everclear just to give you an idea of the condition I was in!! 

Sunday: 

Went back to Peoria and slept till about 5 o'clock then went out to eat at Red Lobster....mmmmm......I love it!  Then Roadie, Mike and I watched Butterfly Effect which is a VERY VERY messed up movie...if you haven't seen it I recommend it...but if you are like me at all, then be prepared to be shocked! That was about it for my weekend, after Friday and Saturday I was pretty shot so I went to bed and got up bright and early to make the trechorous return to SD.  With that little taste of Knox life I think it is safe to say that I am ready to go back to school, returning home to the office just made me realize how much this summer sucks and that I will never do this again!  Oh well better times ahead!

BTW we got a hot tub! Soooooo there is a little more incentive for you to come see me!  It is the one thing that gets me through work, the fact that at the end of the day I can hop in and enjoy a nice dip in the whirlpool!! I think I'll go do that now...Peace out!

So I made it to Galesburg and back in one piece!  It was such an amazing weekend! AHHHHHHHH so much fun here is what happened...

Friday:

I get to Peoria about 4:30 (like 2 hours earlier than I should have thanks to speedy traffic) I chill out and rest with Adam till about 7:00.  Then the girl fest commences!! Eventually, Robin, Aunda, Ashlee, and Manasi arrive at his appartment and the chaos ensues.  After tons of girl talk catch up and freak outs and hugs, we make a quick run to the grocery store and return with malibu, limes, and jose to get the party started.  After experiencing (and living through) my first tequila shot we started playing caps...which I usuallly suck at but Adam and I totally kicked Robin and Aunda's butts!  I played my favorite song Big and Rich song: Save a horse ride a cowboy for them and they agree that it was great, they especially liked me acting out the words for them!!  After that Robin and I had a little Salsa soulmate moment outside and when we came back in apparently they had gotten a noise complaint, the second in two weeks...if Adam and Mike get 2 more they are evicted!  Oppps!!  After that the party slowed down a little and we all started crashing...some harder than others

Saturday:

I was woken up on Saturday morning to the sounds of talking at 8 AM...i went to sleep at 5! what were those crazy's doing?!?  I soon got jumped on by Robin.  For some reason Adam started cleaning the appartment...in his boxers...ewww?? I dunno whatever so Robin thought he was lonely being half nakey alone and took her pants off.  She spent the rest of the morning in her underwear...stretching. What a weirdo, it was very reminiscent of the "hands and legs" skit that Delta did...only slightly less inappropriate.  Eventually we met Manasi at IHOP for breakfast, then we went shopping to get Lei a present, then we went to Manasi's house and chilled there for a while, then we went to Ashlees and chilled there.  Then Aunda and Ashlee went shopping and Robin, Roadie, and I went to take a nap.  We slept till like 7:00, then we went to a chinese restaurant (AWESOME FOOD) then we came home got ready and left for Gburg....which is where I have to leave off now b/c I have to get back to work....more to come!

Okay so it has been a really really long time since I last updated...so I'm going to make it quick and try to keep to things that are somewhat interesting but I'm not all that interesting to begin with so I dunno what'll happen...

Sometime midmay I had an incident with the cleaning ladies in which (i'm sure it was intentional sabotage) some sort of chemical got in my contact lenses case causing me near blindness.  It sucked so bad, it was probably the most painful experience of my life plus I couldn't go out in direct sunlight, use the computer, read, watch tv, and I had to wear an eyepatch if I did any of those activities.  So basically I sat in my room with no overhead lights on and crusted for a week thank you so much to all of my wonderful friends that took care of me!!  Whether it was bringing me food, keeping me company, or taking me to the doctor repeatedly...I couldn't have gotten through it without you so THANKKKSSS!!  

We had some more wonderful Delta fun, I went to formal with Nar which was a lot of fun, he was a great date and put up with me having to run around all night long making sure everything was going well.  It was cute he made friends in the little boy club that hung out by the bar and watched all the girls dance together....only slightly pervey  

My Salsa Soulmate Robin and I had some great times together, our double powerhour, basketball at FIJI and the time we started a dance party at Beta on a Wednesday night by OURSELVES heheh that was humorous too. And the warshishire sauce and mustard body shots...what was she thinking? Oh and the night when Robin, Nar, and I broke the castle I think I am still broken from that fall! OUCH!

All of the girls nights out, especially the memorable one with Robin, Aunda, Kristina, Tina, Jess, and I in which we suddenly ended up in bras?  And the little contest we had...I still win the hoover award! heheh

Now I'm back in South Dakota and most of my friends sold out on me and went other places, its basically me Kav, Karth, and Goetz around here we have our share of fun but it's not the same as last summer when Ynnej was living with me and Leslie was in town, and Ffej, and Luap, and DORDAN and Jesse...heheh those were some good times! But we've had fun at Kavitha's cabin and only got pulled over once with questionable merchandise in our car...luckily it was on the way out and not the way home!

Summer plans accomplished/in the works thus far:

Well I am once again working at Harms...not exactly the thrill of my life but ya know its money and I need it bad!  Adam came to visit me for a few days which was a lot of fun and nice to see someone from Knox over the summer! I went to San Antonio with Ashlee for the Delta Convention it was very busy but a lot of fun and we met some awesome people...Shannon was great and then there was the hot camera guys....GROOWWWLLL right ash  This weekend I am coming to Gburg which will be TONS of fun and I'll get to see a whole bunch more Knoxies!!, then the next weekend I am taking me cousins camping again and Ynnej is coming!! Then after that sometime Robin is coming to visit me and we are going out to Mount Rushmore!! Still to come..caming trip with Kavitha, trip to Des Moines/Aimes or Chicago with Kavitha and Leslie and hopefully Ynnej! and Maybe a trip to the cities with Ma and Pa Bures, oh and my cousin Jr's wedding in August.  By that time I'll be back at Knox...it is so close and yet so far!  Well I miss you all and I can't wait to see you!  Big Kisss MUWAAAH

Aloha Kakou!!

         Wow, So I just got back from Hawaii!!! It was soooo amazing, and I want to get on a plane right now and go back. We didn't do a whole lot of touristy things which was good because we were living there and doing Habitat, and I think that was 100 times better.  It was really rewarding knowning that we were helping people out, the cost of living over there is so incredibly high that you wouldn't belive it.  We were talking to some of the locals and a TINY tiny plot of land on Kauai was $85,000 and they said on average to get a one story house that is maybe 4 bedrooms at the most is $335-375,000!!!!!  That is so insane, and this is out in the "country" meaning it is surrounded by sugarcane fields and far from town, in no case is this prime location.  I can't believe how expensive it is!!! So it was really nice knowing that we were really helping people out because our housing was significantly cheaper for them. Plus it was so fun, the head contractor in charge of us was Uncle Bob, who is this huge man that sort've looks like Santa Clause with a buzz cut, he has a huge gray beard and is just huge in general...oh and he's from Minot, North Dakota so we are sort've neighbors!! I thought that was fun, so we asked him how he said "Bag" and unfortunately he doesn't say it like me...which I am convinced is only because he has been on Kauai so long that he forgot it's correct pronunciation!  

       Hmm...so aside from all of the building we did, we also went to the Pacific ocean several times and Poipu beach which is rated the number 1 beach in America and is absolutely gorgeous!! And we went to a light house, and to Spouting Horn, a couple of waterfalls, and a volcano, and of course we also went shopping!!  Ohhhh but the highlight of the trip and also the craziest thing I have done in my life thus far is cliff diving!!  Yes that is right, yours truly jumped off a 40 foot cliff into 30 feet of water!  It was so scary but amazing!!! I got up there, looked down and jumped!  I'm still not certain how I did it, I mean I knew that I wanted to but I thought I would chicken out, but I didn't!!  Wow, let me tell you hitting that water was like hitting cement!  My leg and my bum is a little sore, somehow I managed to not break the fall at all with my feet I don't know how that happened but lets just say that sitting is extremely uncomfortable right now! I feel like an old man and people on the trip were messing with me and asking me if I need one of those little donuts to sit on.  Oh well, it was worth it and I think I would do it again, but I'm not sure if I would be able to go much higher than 40 feet, because it was quite scary to look down at waves crashing onto the rocky cliffs below!   Oh well...enough for now!  I have to go back to class..which really sucks and is hard to do because all I want to do with my life is become a beach bum!  Mahalo!
